I'm a film/video editor in Chicago, and mostly specialize in biography type films: Interviewing subjects, weaving it into a story, etc. But I do all sorts of video work.
My problem is that I'm really good at what a do, but I'm a lousy business person. I would love to hire someone to go out there and find work for me, and then give them a cut of the profit.
I know there are agents for actors. But what about editors? Or is what I need a business manager? How do I find such a person?
