They never schedule anyone, always claim that the conference is "too tough". While I agree that the SEC has good teams, they are all at the top, and rarely do they all play each other. Like this year, Florida doesn't play Ole Miss or Alabama. Ole Miss doesn't play Florida or Georgia, and neither does Alabama.
So, what is the justification for the weak non-conference schedules?
Out of 48 non-conference games, only 14 are against BCS schools, 7 of those are against the ACC, which half are traditional rivalry games, Georgia/Georgia Tech, Florida/Florida State, Clemson/South Carolina, etc., as opposed to 12 against Division II schools.
How was it the toughest conference for the last 20 years?
If the SEC is great top to bottom, then how does a 5th place team in the Big 10 (Iowa) destroy a 6th place team in South Carolina?
