I didn't mean just baseball teams. It's not necessarily an "apples and oranges" comparison. When you're measuring iconic status, it is possible to compare an MLB team to an NFL team to an NBA team to an NHL team. I wanted to know if, in iconic status terms, the Yankees are/were greater than any other MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL team!
Are the Yankees the most iconic of any of America's sports teams?
