Are the standard guitar hero foot pedals universal?

I have a kick pedal from a ps2 guitar hero drum set and I was thinking about buying a new drum set for my 360. My friend offered to sell his drum kit to me, but he doesn't have a kick pedal. Will my kick pedal be compatible?
