i have a 2000 impala ls with the "aluminum/alloy" rims. you know, like on the 94-96 ss (just an inch smaller). i basically want to know if its all aluminum or an alloy which consists of aluminum because my clear coating is peeling and my rim has a "worm trail" look on them. i plan to remove the clear cote and polish but i just want to know the rim type so i will know how to go about polishing.
p.s.: whats the best way to remove the clear coat on this type or rim?
