Are the Mercury Cougars roomy?

Are the Mercury Cougars years 1999+ roomy inside? Does anyone know if it is the same size as a Ford Escort ZX2or bigger? Or is the front of the car as big as a Ford Focus ZX3?

they are pretty small sports car's nice if ur not that big of a person bout 5'11 shorter. the adjustable driver seat is nice. but for passanger's wise. good for about 1 person back seat is tiny. but a great car.
