I am looking for a full suspension mountain bike for under $500. I really like these to bikes, and want to know if they are any good. I also need to know where I can buy one I can't seem to find any on the internet. I live in Washington

Iron Horse makes the K2 branded bikes and although Iron Horse makes a great product these K2 bikes are not exactly worth writting home to tell mom about....That said the Base 3.0 is probably the only one worth getting and it starts at around $1000. Any full suspension for under $900 is purely for show and does NOT work to its full potential or give a rider the ability to shine on the trail. These bike below 1K are for looks more than anything and the mfg knows there are enough buyers out there that will buy them cheap if they only put a couple "good" components on the bike as a "lure". Remember we are only fish in a giant ocean of deal or no deal and the smart ones get the bait without getting hooked! Dont be a dumb fish and get the hook in your mouth too! Short answer : No not really but if it what you want to spend then knock yourself out...

You have a choice here. You can spend your money on weaker, heavier bike with a sub-entry level shock, or you can get yourself a durable and better equipped hard-tail (which will go anywhere a suspension bike can).

The smart buy would be the entry level models of a reliable brand like Trek, Specialized, Kona, Giant, Diamond Back, Gary Fisher, Cannondale... Just go to a good bike shop that only deals in bikes and bike stuff, and you'll end up with a good bike. Look 'em up in the yellow pages or 411
