Ok so Im gettin my permit in most likely a month and i would like to kno if i can drive in a different state or am I just limited to my state?

Well the drivers permit laws vary from state to state, however the state your planing on driving to must abide by the laws of the state allowing you to drive. As long as you follow there driving laws there is no problem, but make sure you follow the laws and curfews in your state, if your state says you can't drive past 10 o'clock then you can't drive in other states past that time.

the laws are the same for driving in any state with a permit but to get your permit the rules are different like in ny u have to be 16 but in nj u have to be 17 but if u live in ny and are driving in nj that's fine

I think every state has its own rules and regulations. For instance, I was 17 when I was able to get a driver's license in N.J., in other states it is 16 and 18. When you get your permit, you will have to read a booklet which gives you the rules of the road, the rules of your state and that booklet will answer all of your questions Read it carefully because you will be tested on your knowledge OK?
