Are the dashboards interchangeable, between a Lincoln Town Car & a Ford Crown Vic?

I have a 1999 Ford Crown Victoria &, I intend to remove, add-to & re-arrange the dashboard components' configuration(s): *After removing the factory DIN 1.5 stereo, move the EATC [climate control panel] from its current position, (just-above the ash tray), to where the radio WAS; *Fill space where EATC was, w/ aftermarket stereo head unit; *Switches, controlling various aftermarket accessories ( ->2 sets o' aux. driving lights [1set behind grille, the other low-on front bumper through cut-outs], ->power inverter, ->Int. light Door-Override, etc). . . . .Currently, scattered all around the car's cabin: switches will be re-mounted in a more "central" location.
So, on-to my ACTUAL question(!)... My plans currently call-for the removal (or POSSIBLE relocation) of the OEM clock, which is mounted in the "wood grain" trim-panel, in the horizontal center of the dash. But, I still wanted a illuminated clock SOMEWHERE in the cab-- then I remembered that Lincoln Town Cars Had their clocks mounted on the deck of the dash-- right on top, & under a mound of vinyl. I know that MOST parts from same-year Town Cars & Crown Vic's are "compatible" w/ each other (b/c in MOST cases, it's the EXACT SAME part). . . . .But, what about the dash? And, I'm talking about JUST the flat, horizontal "deck" o' the dash. Any thoughts on why it will/won't, should/shouldn't work?
