Bruce Lee came up with JKD because he felt styles limited man. He felt that one should use any technique, and absorb what is useful to yourself and discard what isnt. Taoist influenced martial arts such as xingyiquan are taoist in nature. I like xingyiquan alot, but it is a concrete style which seems to be against the way. However, I guess someone could interpret the movements in limitless way right? The true way is having no way. Then why do we have styles, religions,.......why claim to be a certain school, and not just "martial artists" or "Followers of God". Why the labels. Thoughts?
