Are Storms Affectings 91 and 82?

Wondering if the storms down in the Carribean are affecting the signals off 91 and 82?

Anyone see a difference in strengths over the past week or is the foorprint again shifting??

Maybe its the time now to switch to SC???
 
A storm in the Carribean isn't going to affect signal here. However, BEV did just move a bunch of channels around, presumably in preparation for Nimiq 4. That might be what you're seeing.

That is what I didn't want to hear, becasue last week I had no problems and now some of the channels are very low in strength (on 82, last week in high 70's 80's) and won't lock in(now in 40-50's). Even a few on 91 where at 80's now into 50-60's.
 
Central Florida, I have always gotten all transponders for the past 3 years with no problems with 91 strengths in the high 80's to 100, on 82 mid to high 70's with some 80's. Within the last week some on 82 have dropped to low 50-60 tolock on and a few on 91 have also dropped to the 50's.

Currently use 2 - 30 inches dishes, 6100 receivers
 
Ah! I would suggest waiting to see what relief Nimiq 4 brings. You can always switch after that. Personally I think it will have the same footprint as Nimiq 2, but we can only guess right now.

Is there any chance the dishes may have moved slightly during the storms? I don't know where the current footprint covers, but if you had a higher signal last week, maybe that is the issue?

we really didn't have that much of a problem in my areas, just a lot of rain and some wind but not strong. I guess I'll have to go out tomorrow and check ther dishes. It seems the odd TP strenghts have gone down and the even stayed the same.
I have 2 dishes and 2 switches located in my attic, both receivers are doing the same thing, so either a dish or lnb problem.

last week they were fine
 
There are other posts lately regarding problems with DPP equipment gradually losing strength on odd or even transponders but not both so you may wish to search that topic if you are using DPP equipment.
