I live in Ohio and driving a Miata in the winter is bad. It has very little traction on snow and slides around in the driveway even when there's just some dry snow. My regular tires have enough tread left.
I'm wondering if I should bother buying snow tires for the car or if I should just keep it in the garage. It would be nice to have the car sometimes because my normal car is shared. But, I don't want to ruin the car by sliding off the road and hitting something.
Also, I've read that snow tires really improve ice traction but don't necessarily do very well on snow. Since snow and ice often go together, it would be good to have a tire that does both well.
