I'm in eighth grade right now and a formal dance is coming up. I asked my parents if I could go and they said no, because it was pointless. The main reason I wanted to was go was that this is my last year with some friends since when we go to highschool we will split. My parents don't let me go out, so I won't be able to visit them. I know the time hasn't come, but I don't really think I can go to future dances either. Are they worth going to? Should I try to convince my parents to let me go to them?
I have the most over protective parents out of all my friends. >.<
I know that they're just being well, parents...but like I don't want to make a big deal out of the dances and stuff
