My boyfriend and I have been together for two years and we're both juniors in college. We've been together long enough to know that we're in love and want to make it work despite any obstacles. But he's recently decided to opt out of being a pre-med student and join the army instead. Well...to be precise, he's joining the ROTC program at the university in hopes of this leading him a spot in the army. He's had this on his mind for a very long time, since we met two years ago. Only...I'm not familiar with the military world. I'm really scared and i don't know what to expect. I'm afraid of him moving and me still attending college and afraid of growing a part.
For anyone who has been in this situation, is it manageable? Or if anyone has some insight on how it would be?
My theory is that in three years I'll graduate from college and by then he'll be recruited to some other state, or worse..another country.
I just don't know what to prepare for. please help!
