Think about it

For example let's say they're seeing a patient for over a year and are very involved with their life by listening/advising etc. The patient might rely on them rightfully so while they get help, but let's say out of the blue the patient decides to stop seeing the therapist without advance notice/discussion (whether financial reasons, mad at therapist about something they said or whatever reason the therapist does not know for sure but may suspect). Is this common? Do therapists keep calling the patient to come back? Are they trained to deal with this situation?
