No. Prismacolor markers are not paint markers. Prismacolor markers are markers that come in different opacity's that allow for layering and creating depth. Not like regular markers. You can go over the same area a few times to create shadows, or even mix colors together. A lot of comic book and concept artists use them for quick sketches. I've never used them myself but from what i see they are widely used.
