Are police officers scared of lawyers?

Where I live, police officers think they are the law and sometimes make up laws that are either down right fictitious, out-dated, or mis-interpreted.

In your experiences, would police officers behave differently if they know that the person they are dealing with is a practicing legal attorney?
 
Damn, straight, my attorney told me that before he got a vanity plate that indicates he is an attorney, he would get hassled all the time. Every since, he hasn't been pulled over.
