sprinting or swimming? Now hear me out... I have been thinking about this for a long time.... If FINA, the World swimming body, has allowed these suits that make people swim much faster (don't worry... I know they are going to be banned soon) why not let people take performance enhancing drugs so that we can see just how fast a human can go. now lets just put aside for the moment the notion that "drugs are bad" (which I agree with).... maybe we could have two categories at the Olympics... Drug athletes and drug free athletes competing in separate events... they don't even have to compete against each other. I just wonder how a suit that makes you go consideraby faster is different from taking drugs... I guess the heart of the argument is 'how are internal technologies (i.e. drugs) different from external technologies (i.e. superfast swimsuits)? Discuss...
