...a necessary evil? Perhaps law is good + evil, but not necessary nor sufficient.
Perhaps war is good + evil: but ends badly, with body bags.

His Grace neither makes sides nor takes a side to have war,
for sides wars (blame games) have side effects to both sides.

Eg: John Lewis
"War does not end strife - it sows it. War does not end hatred - it feeds it. For those who argue war is a necessary evil, I say you are half right. War is evil. But it is not necessary. War cannot be a necessary evil, because non-violence is a necessary good. The two [law vs grace] cannot co-exist".

Agatha Christie
"One is left with the horrible feeling now that war settles nothing; that to win a war is as disastrous as to lose one".

Plato:
"No ordinance or law is mighier than understanding"

Solomon:
"with all thy getting, get understanding"
(understanding = grace glory: Prov's 4)
Perhaps being right to make others wrong is inexcusable behaviour, since there is no respect of persons with God, nor any lefteousness (law) in his righteousness (grace), nor any death in his eternal life, nor any war in his peace.

God is not the author of confusion.
God is the author of peace.
