are old diagrams of the solar system really wrong?

in most old diagrams of the solar system the earth is shown as the centre planet , rather than the sun. is the map really about the earth being the centre of our conciousness, taking it in a metaphorical point of veiw, rather than materialistically? i mean, all astrology is based around where the sun and planets are, in relation to our position on earth.
 
Old maps with an Earth centered universe probably did show what we saw from Earth, but they did not portray where we actually are and what orbits what.

Astronomy and astrology are two different things, too. Astronomy is the study of the stars and other celestial objects. Astrology is the study of using the positions of the stars to predict events. Personally, I think astrology is a fake science. The positions of stars don't have any impact on our lives.
