I bought a 2006 Nissan Altima because I was tired of Fords. Fords have so many problems, I was just sick and tired of them. A lot of the problems are minor, but they add up. One of the minor problems, which I noticed in most Fords for the past 30 years, is that the shoulder belts lock up at inappropriate times, and stay locked up way longer than there would be any reason for it. But now I notice that the Nissan Altima seems to have the same problem. It gives me the impression it's exactly the same incompetent mechanism Ford uses. Is it?
This has nothing to do with pulling it all the way out. It locks up at inappropriate times while driving, and stays locked way beyond any reason to stay locked. Just like a lot of Fords.
