Are Newsgroups "Safe" From "Them"?

A friend showed me how to use news groups via Xnews and its very simple. I was just wondering how safe they are from "Them"? :blink: :ph34r: :lookaroun
 
Nice, The only thing ive found newsgroups usefull for is movies, and maybe games, theres shit all for music and apps (usefull ones)

Maybe its because you don't know what an NZB file is, or where to get them, or the good music and app groups.
