I was shocked to find out that my new 2009, Cadillac CTS, was mostly made in China, and only assembled in USA. This came to light after my remote broke after 2 months, my fusebox was recalled after 5 months, my onstar quit working after 6 months, the seats look like cheap, made in China stuff, I blew out the car, and will buy another rreliable, made in USA Cadillac from the 1970's. I bought a 2008, Rav4, last week, and the sticker says made in Japan.

Now I can't help but wonder, is Toyota, also "selling their sole to the devil" and getting cheap, junk, components from China?? I would tend to think not, but was also shocked to see my Sony Laptop, with a "made in China" sticker on it. I'm an engineer, and to me, the electrical connectors, in my 2008, Rav4, just don't seem to look as good, and sturdy, as the electrical connectors, on my old Camry LE.The 2008 Rav4, electrics, are smaller, the wires are thinner, and they just look cheaper, although at least, the relays, still are 'Denso, made in Japan' relays.

Most Toyota's sold in the world are still made in Japan. There are also several factories in America. Sadly, some are also made in communist sweatshop countries like China, although they represent only a small majority of their vehicles (so far)
