I have been a natural artist my whole life - I should have chosen graphic design back when I started school, but I didn't. At that time, I had thought my career through enough. I just stick with the major I had. Funny thing is, all through school I designed stuff, and I even learned most of the important software - Adobe CS2, etc. But now a year after graduation, I'm finding that my communications degree seems worthless. I can't get into any design internships because I'm no longer a student, so I feel really stuck. Plus I'm in a new area, and I don't know anyone, so networking is tough. Should I just suck it up and get a typical sales job, or continue to hope a design firm will give me a chance even if I don't have the title or as much training?
