Ok I'm 24 and I got braces a few weeks ago (I want striaght teeth for my wedding) Anyway i have ceramic tooth coloured brackets and tooth coloured wire. The problem with my teeth is slight crowding and a cross and open bite. I got the bottom set fitted just under three weeks ago and the top set fitted 5 days ago. Anyway the problem is I can't see any movment or improvement at all in my bottom teeth yet and the day after my top brace was fitted I woke up with a small gap between my two front teeth that wasn't there before! I called my orthodontist and he said that this is normal and it will either close before my next appointment in three weeks time or he will adjust it as time goes on. I'm really panicking though. The gap is really getting me down and all I can see is my teeth getting worse ro not doing anything at all. Does my orthodontist know what he's doing? Help. I'm going back to see him in two days time because I'm so worried, but should I think about changing orthodontists?
