Examples: family physician doing a checkup or examining patients for a stomach flu/viral infection/etc.
for women - obstetricians, gynecologists, breast cancer specialist, physician delivering the baby
for men - urologists, testicular cancer specialist, proctologist
Here in New York, I know Jewish and Christian physicians can have patients of the opposite sex. They can touch the patient's stomachs if necessary, look at the opposite gender's gentialia if there is any problems, and touch and see anything that needs to be seen or touched.
Are Muslims allowed to have doctors of the opposite sex? If so, are there any restrictions on what they can or cannot see, do or touch with the patients (if so what are they)?
I'm alluding to family physicians, physicals, proctology, breast cancer examinations, etc (not emergency intensive care).
Greenbirds, I'm ignorant for asking this question? Islam is not something everyone needs to know - few people know every religion; I don't think you know the tenets of the Catechism of the Catholic Church or the LDS's Book of Mormon.
