Are multivitamins good for mental health?

I know they're good for you physically but are the also good for mental health?

For example, if you are a little bit depressed would taking a multivitamin help?

My doctor just put me on a new diet because my mom was diagnosed with a form of cancer and I am now taking Centrum for women. The box said it helps with several things but I don't understand how a multivitamin could help with mental help.
