The first thing is the Kenwood 2 tone system for alerting VS the Motorola Alerting system fro radios.
the Kenwood alerting system seems to be that it puts out one or 2 tones on a certain frequency. when those tones are put out, then the kenwood radios wake up for a set amount of time.
being that this system works on the tone system lets say 1 second of 700hz and then 2 seconds of 600hz, this would wake up the radios(if im understanding the system properly.)
now wouldn't it be possible to produce the same tone on a Motorola dispatch system to wake up the Kenwoods?
also another question...
what about the ptt ID?
can a kenwood produce a EOT PTT ID that a Motorola will understand?
