are Mercury Cougar's a good vehicle?

I am currently looking for my first car, and I have taken a liking to the Mercury Cougar, the 1999-2003 models
I found a 1999 auto with moon roof and power everything 140k miles for 1600 dollars or best offer.
Is this a good price for this car? Is it a good car in terms of reliability and everything else important?
