Well the RX7 are some sweet cars when there running great. There extremely aerodynamic and nice looking cars, the only problem is the fact that the Rotary engine is 100% proprietary and thus no mechanic can work on it except for the dealership. Another gripe is the fact that in most cases a rotary is useless after 100,000 miles. They usually go out before then. Parts are expensive and labor is expensive. If your trying to race it then it will do an adequate job, but there are several other more powerful proven vehicles much better. Considering the average price point I would recommend a Nissan 300zx. these days prices are about equivalent and there's no comparison between the 2. I have a 1993 300zx 3.0 Liter V6 32 valve Non Turbo and I constantly destroy Rx7 and much newer RX8's.
