are mazda 3 really good cars and fun to drive and are really fast? and I'm wondering if I got a mazda 3 would it beat my friends grand prix in a race 2009 madaz vs 2007 grand prix
 
Mazda 3's are good economical and typically cheaper cars to run. They are good for what you pay but as to pace and acceleration for racing, they are like an average car. If you want to race people you need a performance car like a v8 or a WRX
 
If u get the speed three than yes, if you got a normal speed 3 then it would get murdered.
 
You would win if you got the MazdaSpeed 3, but not the regular Mazda 3.

The Mazda 3 is only 148-164 horsepower (depending on model and year).
The MazdaSpeed 3 is 263 Horsepower and it is turbocharged.
