I keep seeing mixed answers all over the place. Some people saying there are very successful liberal arts grads working in many fields making good money also some are saying that they cant find a job or if they do have a job its barely above minium wage. The colleges and some websites say that you can do all kinds of things with a liberal arts degree. You can go into HR, Marketing, PR, Journalism, politics, government, the list goes on and on yet you keep hearing horror stories and mixed messages saying that its not worth it and you would be better off becoming a mechanic or electrician or something. I was told all my life that you need to go to college to have a good life and good paying job. Will I end up doing what I was told and go to college only to find out that it was all a lie and end up working a low wage job while all my Electrician and mechanic friends make more money than me?
Are liberal arts degrees really worthless?
