...purpose as old testament temples? I've been to the temple many times and am beginning to wonder if these ordinances serve any purpose. Do we really need to know this stuff to go to heaven? I wonder if temples are even necessary today and feel they may serve a different purpose than in the past. From everything I've studied in the bible, I find nothing of ordinances performed there, just people partaking of sacrificial repentance. And since Christ died for our sins and we don't need a physical temple to repent (in essence, we are the temple) I wonder why they are here today. It is the restored gospel, right? Shouldn't everything be the same if its restored?
