are honda civics good cars?

Im getting my first car in abt a year and i want to plan it all out before so i know what to look for SO i want a 04 mustang but i doubt that will happen...

Anyways, are honda civic hatchbacks good cars? dependable? Any other suggestions? What do u think they go for? THX!
 
My first car was a Chevy Aveo, it ran beautifully, just stay away from ford, most of their vehicles have been getting recalled lately.
 
Dependable? Yes. Would I have one? No. Everyone tells the people who ask these questions to get a Civic because it is less likely to break down when you get some random ricer boy who doesn't know what he's doing and he thrashes the s*** out of it. You want a Mustang? If you have the cash go and buy a Mustang! Just so long as you take care of it technically any car can be as reliable as a Civic, unless it's either Korean or Swedish. I suggest any sort of Nissan. They're sporty, they look cool, they're fun to drive, and they're still reliable.
