I've read that the Standard Model has been consistent with the results of every high energy experiment since the 1950s. I've also read that there are a few Higgsless models. I'm curious if the Higgsless models are just as consistent with experimental results as the Standard Model. If so, why is the Standard Model more prominent than any of these Higgsless models?
