Are hickeys most common during making out or sex?

My girlfriend always makes me hide my hickey's from her mom, but otherwise I walk around like I don't care because I love it when she does it. She says if her mom see's it she will automatically assume we are having sex.

Yea we are having sex, but most of the time they are coming when were making out. I'm rocking like the biggest hickey in the world right now because she literally bit on my neck for a couple minutes when we were making love the other night. She wants me to wear a bandanna around my neck to come over haha, just makes me look metro though.
 
imma say when making out cause usually when we have sex we dont. but i think its hot.
 
Ask her to give you hickies somewhere else, worked for me. Then you won't see them. Chest, back of neck and wear a polo. And usually they come from making out not sex.
