I just bought an oranda and a ryukin, and my oranda was nipping at the ryukins tail at first but not a lot, and than a couple days later the ryukin started nipping the orandas tail and chasing him a lot more than what the other one was doing to him before. That's when I noticed that the oranda had Ich. The ryukin does too, but not as bad. So I was wondering if the ryukin became more aggressive because the other one was sick. I did separate them and I am treating there Ich. Also do you think I might be able to put them in the same tank after there Ich is cured? I did just recently buy them so I am able to return them if things don't work out.
Are goldfish more aggressive to sick fish?
