Ford balked at the idea because they don't have a whole lot of working capital right now, and the see GM as a drag on the company. GM and Chrysler makes sense, but it is going to devastate Michigan's economy. dodge has a lot more working capital right now and chances are, it's going to happen, because neither will survive on it's own.
