Are gay people a joke?

Alright before I totally offend everyone let me explain. My older sister has a gay guy friend named Troy. Troy dresses really well, does makeup and straightens his hair. He is insanely feminine to the point of it being funny. Are gay guys like him a joke? He literally screams when we have to kill a spider or other bug. How do gay people expect straight people to take them seriously? I can't take most gay guys seriously. How do gay people expect us to treat them serisously when they act like a little girl and are way too feminine? And how do lesbians expect us straight people to act normal towards them, when they are making out and getting physical with another girl? Btw I'm a very straight girl who dates "macho guys" like football players or soccer players. if that matters at all
