a poem obviously has sentences in them, and what im trying to ask is that do u still need to use commas for example while writing free verse poems? you can put part of the sentence then make a new line so then you pause like u normally would with a comma but im not sure if u still need to use a comma. example: like can u go,
The cat climbed up the tree <-- do u need any commas or periods there or can it just stay like that?
Then she went to drink some milk.
if u read it out like a normal sentence, it just goes the cat climbed up the tree then she went to drink some milk. there obviously needs to be a comma/period in it. so im asking if u need to do the same for the free verse poem.
