Are Ford Probes or Geo Storms good first cars for college student?

Okay, I know they dont make either of these cars anymore. But I'm on a budget & need something cheap. I like the way Ford Probes & Geo Storms look, but I need to know are they decent cars or not? Will car maintenance be pricey for these cars? Honest opinions please? The good & the bad?
