Are Ford and Mazda associated in manutacturing of Mazda?

The only current Mazda model made in the States is the 6, which is built in Flat Rock, Michigan, alongside the Ford Mustang. Mazda has said that the next version of the 6 will be built elsewhere.

Ford used to own 33.4 percent of Mazda, enough for control under Japanese law, but has sold most of its Mazda shares.
