Are Flashed Sprint Black Berry's Capable of online access? Or is it just the phone...

...that works? If I flash a 8330 Black Berry Sprint phone to a Metro Network is it going to be able to get online? The whole purpose of me buying this thing is to be able to check my emails on the go all the time. If that is not a capablility I am not buying the phone. Please help!
