are fishes stomaches as big as their eyes?

now ive had fish for a good eight years....as i fed my fish at work i got yelled at by the GM(who does not have fish) that i over fed them, and as a general rule fish have stomaches as big as their eyes. im absolutely positive this is wrong because i have a three inch cat fish with eyes the size of this "o".
