Are Fishes better than Dogs?

Give me a yes or no and a explaination.
Well you see i came up with this because someone in my class (a girl) has a fish and I dont have a dog but i do alot of researches about them, though i dont do any on fishes but I already know them, I said dogs are better than fishes. She said that i was wrong fishes are better I said why and she said Because dogs wake you up at night.(She only gave 1 reason) I said that it depends if its a trained dog, and obvously they need sleep!!! i also said they can also alert u if there is danger.
 
Fish really don't take up any of your time or need much but fed and a clean tank but, seriously, there's no companionship there. I'd prefer a dog. Can't take a fish on a walk....Guess you could try.
 
This can't really be answered seriously. They are completely different animals with completely different behaviours. The best one is which you enjoy the most company of. The only possible answer to your question is another question. "Which one do you like?"
