Are Females More Observant and Critical?

I. The Problem of Study
The problem of study is to determine if stereotypes of females, being more observant and critical is proven to be true, due to the comparison of males whom are said not to be observant and critical.

II. The Purpose of the Study

The major purpose of this study is to determine whether females are more observant or if males are more observant. This will hopefully help to better understand both sexes, and how they both react to certain situations.
The voice of society always seems to look at females as the people to gossip, and prejudge people. Males some how have always been look upon as the people less concerned with appearance. This project may hold truth to those statements or it could be seen to be false.
The motivation in this experiment is to use humor or unique styles. This unique style that I composed is used to get reactions, whether reactions be good or bad it will help to determine that of different sexes reactions as well as their memories. Memory is a huge roll in this project, it is an important part because of the use of short term memory. The short term memory will also lead to the stereotype of males and females. The short term memory links into observation as a huge component to judgment also. Different ages of these two sexes may or may not actually have any effect on their awareness skills, or memory skills. Although some young children may have a hard time actually remerabering certain facts, that does necessarily mean they are any less observant or aware.

III. Hypothesis

The experimenter predict that the females will be more observant than that of the males with no exception to the ages.

IV. Research MethoRAB

The experimenter tested five different grade levels of both males and females, to test their awareness skills.
The experimenter took one class of each grade from 3rd grade to 8th grade. Then had a classmate of the experimenter to assist in having to wear a "comical "outfit. The experimenter had various questions that had been written down in relation to the "comical" outfit. The assistant then would enter the room very casually. Then the assistant would then hand a paper to the teacher, which would give the children an opportunity to observe his "comical" outfit. The paper that was handed to the teachers contained the answers to the test. Continuing on the experimenter would observe the reactions and comments of the children. After handing out the tests to the children the experimenter would then explain that they needed to fill out the personal information at the top of the test paper. Then the personal information was added for statistical reasons.
It was stressed to the children that they should only answer the questions that they remeraber observing. After all of the children would finish their tests, their teachers would then review over the answers, that were previously given to the teacher. On certain occasions the children would request to see the assistant after all of the testing was complete, and then would discuss the test together.

V. Analysis of Data

The experimenter then would grade each one of the test sheets that were given to the students. A total of 6 questions on the test, but since 2 of the questions had two parts to it the experimenter used a total of 8 points possible. Due to the personal information that was required on the test, the female and males tests were divided up. The experimenter than counted and separated the male, as well as the female scores according to how many were points were received. After accumulating the total points of each group, it was then divided by the total nuraber of males or females, that then productively showed the average score of each person in the two different groups. The scores were then recorded to establish the data. The nuraber of points that were received were grouped into 6 groups for the males and grouped into 7 groups for the females. Then the nuraber of each individual group, which would be groups 1 through 6, and then divided that nuraber by the over all nuraber of the males. And proceed to do so with groups 1 through 7, and also divide that nuraber by the over all nuraber of females. If the over all average of the females turns out to be higher than the hypothesis will be proven to be true. If the average of the males turns out to be higher than the hypothesis will be proven to be false.

VI. Conclusion

The conclusion to the project indeed proves that the awareness skills of females are in this case sharper than that of males. There was a total of 188 points accumulated out of 464 points possible on the males tests. There then was a total of 211 points scored out of 488 points possible on the females tests. Later the scores from each group were calculated to determine the average nuraber of questions that the students had gotten right. In the males case, each male was calculated to have gotten only 3.2 questions right. But in the females case they were calculated to have an average score of 3.4 on each of their tests.
The males defiantly reacted to the "comical" outfit, mostly by laughing or making their own funny comments. But the males apparently did not remeraber as many specific details as the females, who mostly were casual about their observations. This also proves that the stereotype of females being more critical of others is mostly true.
