Are female recruits allowed to wear cornrows or multiple braids while in usmc boot camp?

I am an african-american woman,my hair is wavy/kinky so it isn't easy to manage.I know I won't be able to neatly and securely put it in a bun in a matter of seconds,so would I be able to wear multiple micro braids (which can be pulled into a bun)? or small cornrows while in usmc boot camp?
 
You know...that's a really good question. I would ask your recruiter about that as there may be slightly different standards in your case. I just wish I had an answer for you lol, but I'm about as white as they come. If you are willing to cut your hair short enough that it can't be put into a bun and have it straightened, that may also be acceptable.

Again, I would definitely ask your recruiter the details on that one.
