Are Ducati sport bikes (848) more comfortable for shorter riders?

For my next bike upgrade I would like a Ducati, with their more race / track style seating position be more comfortable for someone who is 5''6 or 5''7. Cus i really want the Ducati but i keep reading that long highway rides are tough & also they get really hot in stop & go traffic. But the real question is would a short rider be more comfortable on a duc over a Jap bike ??

James is exactly right. Ducatis are probably the most uncomfortable sport bikes I have ever sat on. They really need to take some time out and engineer a more comfortable bike. The rider position sux, the seat is VERY hard and not at all ergonomic. Try one and you'll see....

Honestly, my Hayabusa was the most comfortable sportbike I ever sat on because it had a gel seat. All other 1000 types made me crouch more and the seats were very hard. Try them out and see for yourself.

Ducatis are among the least comfortable bikes available. They are especially uncomfortable for short riders, due to the long reach to the handlebars. Also, they tend to have high seats. Japanese sport-bikes aren't great in terms of comfort either, but they beat the Ducatis hands-down in that area.
