Are Cookies a true history?

My boyfriends computer does not store his internet history. On looking at his cookies though, there are addresses that relate to several dating websites. Does this mean that he has definitely visited these sites? Is there any way of finding out?
 
theres dating ads and pop-ups all over the web, prob nothing to worry about. Stop being so paranoid and tell him to delete his cookies.

Nah, the dating sites do have pop up's and it makes it look like youv'e visited them, but he hasn't.

Dont worry, go and treat him to something special so he knows what a brill girlfriend you are.
 
It may only mean that there was dating advertisments on another website that he visited.

Cookies come not only from the website itself, but also from 3rd party advertising servers.
