I'm going to test drive a 2001 Chrysler Concorde next Saturday and am curious if these are good cars? I've always wanted one because I think they have real nice body styles and haven't heard anything bad about them. He's selling it for $2990 but lowered it to $2500 for me. It's got 90,000 miles. Are these good cars? Am I getting a good deal? thanks!

Generally, I advise people to avoid Chrysler products. Transmissions are a major problem for them. Concordes are no different. Expect to replace the tranny within a year of buying it (approx 2-3k). It might be a good deal, though, if it's been done already. But, as with any car, have it thoroughly inspected by an independent mechanic before you buy it. I will never buy any chrysler, dodge, or jeep, though.
